CCLC selected to operate child care center at the new San Francisco Federal Building

Sunnyvale, Calif., - July 27, 2006 – Childrens' Creative Learning Centers, one of California’s leading providers of employer-sponsored child care and early childhood education, announced today that it will manage the new, state-of-the-art child care center at the new Federal Building in San Francisco to open in spring 2007.

The Kids By The Bay Child Development Center (KBTB) will serve the five government agencies housed in the new Federal building: the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Department of Defense, the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Labor, and the Social Security Administration. Enrollment will be open to other Federal agencies in San Francisco and to community members at a later date.

The Center will offer full-time and part-time slots for 73 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. The Center will feature low child-to-teacher ratios and use CCLC’s Guided Discovery Curriculum™, which is designed to meet the rigorous educational standards developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), a national accreditation organization dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children. The Center also plans to offer family-friendly services such as full meal service for all children, a monthly “Parent Night Out” evening care for a nominal fee, and social activities that involve parents and children.
