NewsroomProcter & Gamble® Selects CCLC® to operate its Child Development Center(Albany, GA) - July 8, 2008 – Procter & Gamble (P&G) has chosen CCLC, a nationwide child care provider dedicated to quality employer-sponsored early childhood education, to assume operations of its Albany, Georgia on-site Child Development Center. The center offers programs for children ages six-weeks to 12-years-old including enrichment options and summer programs. The center also features oversized playgrounds, a full-size basketball court, art room, a unique dining room that offers parents and children a home-style dining experience, and a staff resource room. “This transition marks P&G’s continued efforts to provide its employees with superior early childhood care and education. We are excited to be working with CCLC to revamp the P&G Child Development Center,” said Teresa Travis, Personnel Manager, P&G. “CCLC management has been incredibly flexible throughout this process and has managed to maintain stability of care while making the necessary changes to the center’s programs and curriculum that will help uphold our center’s high education and care standards.” The P&G Albany Plant has more than 1,200 employees, with more than 40 families who have enrolled their children in the P&G Child Development Center. During the transition from the previous provider, CCLC placed great emphasis on a secure and consistent environment for all children by retaining 90 percent of the center’s staff and managing very few disruptions during open hours. The smooth transition around staff training, building and program changes also enabled CCLC to retain 100 percent of the center’s enrolled families and its NAEYC accreditation. Accreditation is awarded only to high-quality early childhood programs reviewed by a national commission comprised of recognized experts in early childhood education and care. To confirm CCLC’s commitment to providing a safe, nurturing environment, the center will operate with low teacher/child ratios, allowing staff to focus on the individual needs of each child. In addition, CCLC will implement its developmentally appropriate programs through their Guided Discovery Curriculum™ which incorporates physical, social, language, cognitive and emotional development. “Our priorities during this transition were continuity of care for the children and retaining as many of the current teaching staff as possible and I am proud to say we met those goals,” said Richard Peterson, Director of Client Operations, CCLC. “We look forward to working with both P&G and our families to establish long-term, trusting relationships.” The P&G Child Development Center is located at 510 Liberty Expressway SE in Albany, Georgia. The center serves children from 6-weeks to 12 years of age and features a new and unique environment to meet children’s developmental needs. About CCLC About P&G Media Contact: |
