Center Overview
CCLC and Pixar are proud to announce the opening of the Childrens’ Creative Learning Centers – Pixar Child Care Center serving Pixar employees. The brand new center will provide care for children ranging in age from 6 weeks – 6 years of age, year round.
The exciting brand new center provides full and part week schedules, Monday – Friday 8:00AM – 7:30PM. The center can accommodate 97 children full time children in 7classrooms. The center also has 2 spacious playgrounds.
Location
The childcare center is located in Berkeley in the Zaentz Media Center at Tenth and Parker. The Center provides a new and unique environment that meets children's developmental needs as well as meets the current national and state safety standards for a childcare center. There are large play yards that are designed to provide interesting experiences for children as well as to support an outdoor curriculum.

Center Quality & Features
- NAEYC Standards: The Pixar Child Care Center offers a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum with low teacher / child ratios. The center is set up to meet and in some cases exceed the accreditation standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) -- a highly regarded child development organization. NAEYC standards are only achieved by 8% of all 110,000 programs nationally. The center will apply for NAEYC accreditation when eligible, after one year of operation.
- Low Ratios: The center operates with low teacher to child ratios and small group sizes. This allows our teaching staff to focus more on small group and individual needs of each child.

- Guided Discovery Curriculum: The Pixar Child Care Center will utilize CCLC’s exclusive Guided Discovery CurriculumTM. CCLC incorporates physical, social, language, cognitive and emotional development. Guided Discovery is rooted in educational philosophy and theory as well as practice.
- Teaching Staff: CCLC’s teaching team is comprised of Early Childhood Professionals who meet and exceed all state requirements. CCLC hires staff who truly love what they do and who are focused on early childhood education through supporting children and their families during the formative years. CCLC staff are caring, friendly, and knowledgeable about their profession.
Our goal is to keep the teacher turnover rate as low a possible. To build a great teaching team, we pay above average salaries and offer great benefits. We look forward to introducing our teaching team and Director to The Pixar Childcare Center families as we get closer to the opening date!
