Wilson Sonsini Godrich & Rosati Family PagesNanny NetworkThank you for your interest in the Childrens' Creative Learning Centers. If you have any questions regarding the nanny network you can reach us via email at wsgr@cclc.com. All emails will be returned within 24 hours. What is the WSGR Nanny Network? The Nanny Network is a program that matches family requests for a nanny referral with nanny applicants that have been prescreened and accepted into a pool of applicants. What are the benefits of the Nanny Network? It offers a streamlined and exclusive process for finding nanny applicants, as much of the screening for quality process has been done. The main task for families is simply to find a good match between themselves and a nanny applicant. Does anyone have priority?Priority for referrals will be given to families requesting care for more than 20 hours per week. Referrals are made based on the availability of a match between the family’s needs and the nanny applicants. How do I get a referral? To receive a referral, you must submit a Family Request Form to the Care Coordinator. The Care Coordinator will follow up with you regarding any questions and to review your request. When a nanny applicant match has been identified, you will receive a referral including the nanny’s name, background information (education and experience) and contact numbers. How long does it take to get a referral? The length of time depends on the ability to match your needs with the pool of available, screened nanny applicants. If no pre-screened applicants are available additional time will be needed to screen nanny applicants. The process can take 2 to 6 weeks. The more notice we have of your needs, the more likely we will be able to successfully match you with nanny applicants. What qualifications will nanny applicants have? They will have current CPR and First Aid certification, criminal record clearance (DOJ, FBI and Child Abuse Index), and cleared TB test results. Our goal is to find applicants with some Early Childhood Education coursework and experience providing child care, although these are not required. What prescreening is completed by the Nanny Network?Applicants are screened through a resume review, personal interview, behavioral interview, reference check and document review (criminal record clearance, CPR & First Aid certification, TB test results). They are screened using the same criteria that are used when hiring employees for a CCLC center. The behavioral interview is an opportunity for the applicant to spend time in a classroom at the Downtown Palo Alto Center interacting with children, talking with the teachers and being observed by the center director - this offers an assessment of how comfortable and knowledgeable the applicant is with children. What fees are associated with the Nanny Network?A fee not to exceed $700.00 per nanny applicant will be paid to CCLC by the WSGR employee receiving applicant referrals. The fee is to cover all background checks, requires certifications/clearances, necessary trainings and a starter kit. The fee will be less if the nanny placed with your family has one or more of the requirements prior to joining the network. The fee will be deducted from your paycheck within 30 days of placement. Who is responsible for paying the for the nanny and what is the pay rate?Once you have selected a nanny, it is your responsibility to negotiate with the candidate a rate of pay and the terms of payment (i.e. weekly, monthly etc). CCLC is not responsible for paying the nanny nor setting the rate of pay. The recommended pay rate is between $15.00 per hour and $20.00 per hour. The rate should be based on the number of children being cared for and the nannies prior experience. It is your responsibility to comply with all California and Federal employment and Tax laws. Please seek advice from your tax professional to assist you in this area.
